Does Burdock help against cancer?

Burdock is a species of plants which is cultivated in gardens for its root used as a vegetable. There is no evidence to support use of burdock to treat cancer. So, evidence is lacking to support this claim, however, preclinical data indicate anticancer effect. The fruit is valued in traditional Chinese medicine and used to treat cancer. Further, Burdock was shown to stop cycle arrest which means that it will stop the growth of cancer cells. Burdock also induced apoptosis which means cell death of ovarian cancer cells via suppression of inducible nitric oxide synthase, the kind of chemical that, in theory, may protect against some common health problems and possibly certain effects of aging.

Remember health is much more dependent on our health and nutrition than on medicine.
