Founders

Founder ventured after 25 years of experience in medicine to open the Medical Clinic in the heart of Manhattan. The clinic brings the top-notch medical care of anti-aging treatments, weight loss solutions, skin rejuvenation and body contouring successfully to clients and patients. The Medical Clinic opens its first by Times Square New York at 393 West 49th street TH 1E New York NY, 10019. The Medical Clinic would not be where it is today without our core values and exceptional team.

Initial Phase

They started with technologies such as the Alma Harmony XL SR, HR, Pixel, Thermage, Lipotron 3000 and Chemical Peels. They shared duties such as treatments, receptionist, marketing and business development.

SKINNEY Brand

They chose the name SKINNY as a play on words, skin New York, SKINNY. After several attempts, they were unable to trademark SKINNY and that’s when SKINNEY was born.

Popularilty

The Medical Clinic NYC quickly became a popular go-to for anti-aging treatments and body contouring. The founders credit their technology, customer service and quality of results. Within one year they grew to 4 employees. The SKINNEY schedule was booked 3-4 weeks out and they decided they needed to expand.

Bond Street

The Medical Clinic NYC opened their second location temporarily at 50 Bond Street as they were building their first stand-alone location 125 5th Ave, Flatiron

Flatiron

The Medical Clinic NYC opened their flagship location SKINNEY Flatiron in October 2014. The business continued to grow in popularity. The founders expanded their technologies adding Coolscupting, Fraxel, Ultherapy and VenusFreeze.

The Plaza Hotel

The Medical Clinic NYC moved their first location a few blocks west inside the legendary Plaza Hotel 2015-2019.

Skinney + Saks

The Medical Clinic NYC collaborated with Saks Fifth Avenue in April 2017 with their brand new concept, where shoppers can experience spa-like services.

First Free Standing Location

With continued growth and success, founders Marisa + Adriana built out their “dream location” at 37 West 57 Street in Dec 2019, moving out of the Plaza location and into Skinney’s first free standing location.

Saks Expansion

In 2021 Skinney opened two more locations inside Saks Fifth Avenue at Bal Harbour, Miami, Florida, and Houston Gallaria, Texas.
