Artemisia is comprised of plants and shrubs which are known for their essential oils. In regard to artemisia’s use to treat cancer, a few safety studies in advanced cancer patients have not shown a cancer treatment response. Among several advanced breast cancer patients, artemisia derived drug was largely well tolerated among patients. Artemisia prevents the cell growth of cancer cells in one type of thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid cancer.
