Do Chia seeds help against cancer?
Chia seeds are the edible seeds of a flowering plant in the mint family. Various laboratory analyses suggest that substances found in chia constituents have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antithrombotic activities even though the alleged use of chia seeds is to lose weight. An antithrombotic agent means that a drug that reduces the formation of blood clots. In preliminary clinical studies, chia did not benefit overweight adults cardiovascular and type 2 DM. Remember health is much more dependent on our health and nutrition than on medicine.
